Report:2010-11 The annual Gorowara Memorial lecture was held on 15th Feb 2011 in the college auditorium. The honorable speaker of the day was the renowned film makes Mr Muzaffar Ali. He addressed the students on "Cinema of the soul" and shed light upon his long journey and passion as an artist. He shared that he and his films were poetry driven and how he found poetry as the sound of soul. Mr Muzaffar Ali laid emphasis on the use of aesthetics while working in the industry. By the end of the session,he answered to the various queries regarding Indian cinema and concluded by saying, "...today's bollywood cinema is an art of noise, the challenge is to face the silence in the cinema!"
Report: 2011-12 The 8th Dr. K.K. Gorowara Annual Memorial Public Lecture was conducted by Sri. Harsh Mander, an acclaimed writer and a social activist on February 23rd, 2012, in the college auditorium of Kamala Nehru College, University of Delhi. The topic of his lecture was ‘India’s Unfinished Battle against hunger’. The lecture was attended by dignitaries including professors from Jawaharlal Nehru University, academic/non-academic staff and students of Kamala Nehru College.
